Glossary
Every word The Hill uses, in one line each.
| Word | What it means |
|---|---|
| Hill | A coin. Every coin on The Hill is drawn as a hill with its holders standing on it. |
| Height | How far a holder is above or below their average buy price. Up means profit. |
| Break-even line | The dashed line round the hill. Above it you're in profit, below it you're underwater. |
| King | The holder with the biggest profit in dollars. Holds the flag at the top, wears gold. Free bags can't be king. |
| Martian | You, on the hill. Your character, built on your first login. |
| Flag | A badge on a holder that says what kind of wallet they are: sniper, bundled, airdrop, whale, diamond hands and so on. |
| Average entry | The price you paid, averaged over every buy and sell you've made in that coin. Your height uses this. |
| Bundled | Several wallets buying in the same block, usually one person splitting a buy to look like a crowd. |
| Sniper | A wallet that bought in the first seconds after a coin launched. |
| Airdrop / No buy seen | A wallet that holds the coin but never bought it. Free bag, pure profit, can't be king. |
| Dev | The wallet that created the coin, or one it funded. |
| Cluster | Wallets linked by who funded them. Clusters tend to sell together. |
| KOL | "Key opinion leader." An influencer wallet we recognise. |
| Whale | A wallet holding more than 2% of the supply. |
| Diamond hands | Held through a 50% drop without selling. |
| Paper hands | Sold into every pump so far. |
| One balance | Your money, shown as one dollar figure, spendable on any coin on any chain. Lives in wallets only you control. |
| Gas | The small network fee a blockchain charges for every transaction. We pay it for you on most chains. |
| Fee | 1.5% of a sell made at a profit, taken inside the trade. Buys and losing sells pay nothing. Split three ways. |
| Elysium | Hyperliquid's first Layer 2, by the Kinetiq team. The Hill's home chain, live from its first week. |
| Rebate | The third of the fee that comes back to traders, in $HILL, in proportion to the fees each of them paid. |
| Buyback and burn | The third of the fee that buys $HILL on the market and destroys it. Supply only goes down. |
| $HILL | The Hill's own coin. Where two thirds of every fee ends up. |
| Pin | An achievement on your profile: First Flag, Rug Dodger, Diamond Visor and so on. |
| Thesis | A short note a trader attaches to a position: why they're in. Shows on the hill. |
| Safety checks | Mint, freeze, liquidity, top holders, bundles, insider funding. Red means the coin can be rigged against you. |
| Bubble map | A picture of which holders share a source of funds. One blob of connected wallets is usually one person. |
| Rug | When the people behind a coin pull the liquidity or dump their supply and the price collapses. |
